This is kinda random, but I noticed that today. I went out in the garden and picked a handful of raspberries, and put them in a bowl with some store-bought ones for a snack. The store-bought ones were 2-3 times as big. Why is this?
Why Are Home-grown Raspberries Smaller Then Store-bought Ones?

It’s a mixture of reasons. The shop bought ones will be mass produced and very often fertilisers etc will be used to make them grow bigger or faster.
The other thing is that they are usualy grown in ideal conditions – heat, uv etc. They aren’t getting cold and frosty like the ones in your garden.
Which taste better? I bet the ones from your own garden?
The nutrients used in growing them !
